An Update from ATSSA Toronto on COVID-19

To our Valued Members and Industry Patrons,

We wish everyone well during  the challenges presented by the COVID-19 virus and wish to join the call for everyone to practice social distancing as requested by health authorities.

As one of many current measures being taken to protect public health, the Government of Ontario has recommended that any non-essential mass gathering of 5 or more people be cancelled or postponed to limit the spread of COVID-19.

For this reason, we have decided to cancel all upcoming general meetings of the ATSSA as health and safety of members and industry patrons is our top priority.

We will continue to monitor information from the Public Health Agency of Canada, the province, and regional health authorities. Once the all-clear has been received to resume holding events and meetings again, we look forward to sharing rescheduled ATSSA meeting dates with all of you.

These are very challenging times. And we take a moment to thank and salute everyone involved in the trucking industry for stepping up and ensuring that supply of essential supplies across our country remains uninterrupted. Also want to acknowledge and appreciate the role played by our medical professionals and first responders in this hour of crisis.

From everyone at the ATSSA, we wish you, your families and your staff safety and health as we navigate these unprecedented times.

Thank you, stay positive and please continue to do your part by social and physical distancing.

Mark Halliday

President
